There are four different options for Source 4 ellipsoidal socket replacements. The key is knowing when your fixture was manufactured. It should be listed on a sticker on the fixture's yoke.
If the fixture was made before 1997, it probably doesn't have the lamp retainer wire. In that case, we would suggest purchasing the "Lamp Retainer Retrofit Kit", part 7060A1033, along with a new socket.
If you don't need the Lamp Retainer Retrofit Kit, and your fixture was made after 1997, the socket you'll need is part 7060B7019. In the past we have received two variations from ETC.
If your fixture was made before 1997, there's a good possibility that these new sockets will not fit the socket baffle. In that case you'll need part M706, which includes the ceramic, mica, and two lead wires. This is also the same socket kit to use when replacing a Source 4 Par or ParNel socket.
There is one part that we recommend replacing at the same time, but it is not always necessary. That part, 7060A3012, often gets bent or broken when being removed from the socket baffle.
