Rosco has announced the immediate availability of the LitePad.

LitePad™ is a slim profile light source that generates a soft even beam of light and almost no heat. Its small form factor and light weight make the LitePad™ perfect for use in many places where a larger, typical luminaire could not fit. Drawing just a few watts of power, LitePad is simple, fast and economical to use in film and television, theatre and live entertainment, and retail and event lighting.

We should have a demo unit in the Grand Rapids office by the end of the week.

Rosco has also released the Delta Hazer, and discontinued the Hazemaker and Hazemaker II. If you have any questions about fog or haze machines, please contact any of our offices.

The USITT Stage Expo is coming up in Phoenix, March 15-17.

JSHAA News › Gadgets

My name is David, and I love gadgets.

(All together: "Hello, David")

Since everyone in theatre gets all smiley and giggly when it comes to gadgets, I thought that I would highlight a few in a range of prices.

Mega Combo Wrench
The Mongo Wrench

You already know that I love The Light Source. This is why.

The Mega Combo Wrench (MFG Suggested List Price $7.00) fits on a lanyard, and can tackle 1/2" and 5/16” hex head bolts and square head bolts. (Which just happen to be the standard sizes on a Source Four c-clamp).

The Mongo Wrench (MFG Suggested List Price $39.95), despite being awsomely huge (!), will fasten everything a Mega-Combo Wrench can plus the Mega-Coupler Nut, other coupler wing nuts, and not to mention a bottle opener!

GAM Lamp Chek

Guess what? This has a lanyard already attached! Need to check if a lamp is still good? Plug the fixture in and a green LED tells you the news. (MFG Suggested List Price $34.50)

Dr. Ferd’s Wart Remover

I don’t know who Dr. Ferd is, his wart remover sure does work! Use it as a small extension to plug all of those wall wart transformers into your power strips. (MFG Suggested List Price $9.49)

Bil-Lite

Simple battery powered LED light. It can clip on your hat, your clip-board, the inside of a dimmer rack….

(MFG Suggested List Price $19.95)

Swatch Books

Every year, more colors! Stop in any of our offices for a FREE swatch book!!!

After you pick up your swatch book of gel, you’ll probably buy a few sheets. When you cut them up, you better mark them!

Might I suggest a Listo Brand Grease Pencil? (MFG Suggested List Price $1.35)

Did your classmate spend his party money on WYSIWYG? Kick it "old-style" with the Field Template Rules! (MFG Suggested List Price $15.00)
Field Template Rules

Feel like being the best techie on the block? You need a Gizmo!

I can’t even begin the tell you how cool this is! It’s from Doug Fleenor so you know it’s the best in its class. (MFG Suggested List Price $1200.00)

And just for fun, Doug Fleenor also has:

The DMX512 Shock Collar was designed to help lighting board operators wake up sleeping followspot crew. It has also been successfully used to alert flyrail personnel and stagehands that have fallen asleep backstage. A shocking reminder can now be sent directly from the lighting console. For habitual sleepers, alert cues can be conveniently programmed as part of the show.

(MFG Suggested List Price: Priceless! )

All of these items — AND MORE! — are in-stock in our Grand Rapids location. Most of the items are also available in our other locations, as well, so give them a call to make sure.
